Aunque hoy en d\u00eda existen m\u00e9todos m\u00e1s seguros como SSH, Telnet sigue siendo una herramienta muy utilizada en entornos de pr\u00e1cticas y simulaci\u00f3n debido a su simplicidad y compatibilidad con plataformas de laboratorio como Packet Tracer.<br>En este art\u00edculo te guiaremos paso a paso para que puedas habilitar el acceso Telnet en tu switch Cisco y conectarte correctamente desde tu equipo, asegurando que comprendas cada parte del proceso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Configuraci\u00f3n para conexi\u00f3n por telnet:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Como ya vimos en anteriores art\u00edculos, en primer lugar estableceremos una conexi\u00f3n desde nuestro pc al switch por cable de consola, para despu\u00e9s realizar la configuraciones oportunas para poder establecer una conexi\u00f3n v\u00eda telnet. <\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"599\" height=\"317\" src=\"https:\/\/myvlcsys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-29.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3135\" srcset=\"https:\/\/myvlcsys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-29.png 599w, https:\/\/myvlcsys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-29-300x159.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 599px) 100vw, 599px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Haremos la siguiente configuraci\u00f3n en el switch, mediante conexi\u00f3n por consola como se explic\u00f3 en el articulo <a href=\"https:\/\/myvlcsys.com\/?p=3084\" title=\"\">Cisco Labs #01 : Primera Conexi\u00f3n. Mostrar mensaje de conexi\u00f3n.  <\/a><br>Despu\u00e9s de la conexi\u00f3n, procederemos a configurar el switch como mostramos a continuaci\u00f3n.<br><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/myvlcsys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-30.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3137\" width=\"703\" srcset=\"https:\/\/myvlcsys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-30.png 692w, https:\/\/myvlcsys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-30-300x253.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 692px) 100vw, 692px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Que hace cada l\u00ednea de nuestra configuraci\u00f3n: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong><code>enable<\/code><\/strong>&nbsp;\u2192 Entrar en modo con permisos<\/li><li><strong><code>configure terminal<\/code><\/strong>&nbsp;\u2192 Modo de configuraci\u00f3n<\/li><li><strong><code>interface vlan 1<\/code><\/strong>&nbsp;\u2192 Seleccionar la VLAN de administraci\u00f3n<\/li><li><strong><code>ip address 192.168.1.2 255.255.255.0<\/code><\/strong>&nbsp;\u2192 Poner IP al switch<\/li><li><strong><code>no shutdown<\/code><\/strong>&nbsp;\u2192 Encender la interfaz<\/li><li><strong><code>line vty 0 15<\/code><\/strong>&nbsp;\u2192 Preparar acceso remoto (16 conexiones)<\/li><li><strong><code>password cisco456<\/code><\/strong>&nbsp;\u2192 Poner contrase\u00f1a:&nbsp;<strong>cisco456<\/strong><\/li><li><strong><code>login<\/code><\/strong>&nbsp;\u2192 Obligar a usar la contrase\u00f1a<\/li><li><strong><code>copy running-config startup-config<\/code><\/strong>&nbsp;\u2192&nbsp;<strong>GUARDAR TODO<\/strong>&nbsp;permanentemente<\/li><li><code>Interface Vlan1, changed state to down<\/code>&nbsp;\u2192 La VLAN no tiene puertos activos (normal)<\/li><li><code>Configured from console by console<\/code>&nbsp;\u2192 Confirmaci\u00f3n de cambios<\/li><li><code>[OK]<\/code>&nbsp;\u2192 \u00a1Guardado exitoso<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>De tal forma ya tendremos preparado nuestro switch para la conexi\u00f3n mediante telnet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Realizar conexi\u00f3n por telnet:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Para realizar la conexi\u00f3n por telnet, previamente deberemos hacer las conexiones y las configuraciones oportunas desde nuestro pc al switch. Para realizar la conexi\u00f3n usaremos el cable<strong> \u00abCopper Straight-Through\u00bb<\/strong>, el cual representa un cable de red para conexi\u00f3n directa entre dispositivos.  <\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"512\" height=\"201\" src=\"https:\/\/myvlcsys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-31.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3146\" srcset=\"https:\/\/myvlcsys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-31.png 512w, https:\/\/myvlcsys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-31-300x118.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 512px) 100vw, 512px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>La conexi\u00f3n la estableceremos desde el puerto \u00abFastEthernet0\u00bb de la computadora:<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/myvlcsys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-32.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3147\" width=\"407\" height=\"192\" srcset=\"https:\/\/myvlcsys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-32.png 407w, https:\/\/myvlcsys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-32-300x142.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 407px) 100vw, 407px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>A cualquier puerto puerto \u00abFastEthernet\u00bb del switch, en nuestro caso al puerto \u00abFastEthernet3\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"475\" height=\"182\" src=\"https:\/\/myvlcsys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-33.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3148\" srcset=\"https:\/\/myvlcsys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-33.png 475w, https:\/\/myvlcsys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-33-300x115.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 475px) 100vw, 475px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Ahora configuraremos las ip de nuestro pc, dentro del rango de ips de la que les establecimos al switch, recordemos que le asignaremos la ip, 192.168.1.2,  por lo que para nuestro ejemplo al pc le configuraremos las 192.168.1.3 con las m\u00e1scara de red 255.255.255.0. <\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/myvlcsys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-34.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3150\" width=\"703\" height=\"720\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Despu\u00e9s de configurar la ip y la m\u00e1scara de subred, para poder estable la conexi\u00f3n mediante <strong><em>\u00abTelnet \/ SSH Client\u00bb<\/em><\/strong>.
